1/03/2012 Update: We plan to be at the January 12th special meeting hosted by Central Texas Water Coalition and recommend you attend too. There will be a presentation on the Future of Texas Drought and discussions of current issues affecting our water supply and lake levels. Details on the meeting HERE.

 

10/03/11 Update: Our Sept. 27th general membership meeting was a great success, with more than 80 in attendance. Central Texas Water Coalition gave a presentation on the Water Management Plan and "Where The Water Is Going". LCRA's Beck Motal spoke to the same issues from LCRA's perspective and graciously handled some tough questions from folks not too happy with the lake levels. Photos are on our Facebook page.

 

9/08/11 Update: Becky Motal, General Manager of LCRA, has agreed to be the featured speaker at our annual general membership meeting on Sept. 27th. See more HERE

 

9/05/11 Update: The main basin of Lake Travis is temporarily closed to normal boating activities due to ongoing firefighting efforts. See notice HERE

 

8/12/11 Update: SAVE THE DATE! The PLTA annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011 at 6:00PM at the Travis County West Service Center next to Mansfield Dam. We promise an interesting program, so plan to attend.

 

7/28/11 Update: Former PLTA board member Janet Caylor has helped form a new group dealing with water management issues: Central Texas Water Coalition. See their website at

3/08/2011 Update: Holly Riffe, who has been serving as PLTA Secretary, is elected to the board of directors. Welcome, Holly!

 

1/11/2011 Update: PLTA held its monthly board meeting at WCID 17 headquarters and were treated to a fascinating tour of the water treatment plant. Photos on our Facebook site HERE.

At this meeting Holly Riffe joined as PLTA Secretary, taking over the position from Gloria Eckstrom.
